About Felisha Way

I am a manager of BCBS Association Policy and Inter Plan Executive Alternate at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ), the largest and most experienced health insurer in the state. With an MBA degree and over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the health insurance sector and its stakeholders. My core competencies include policy guidance, value-based program integration, process improvement, risk adjustment, project management, business analysis, and strategy formulation. I lead a team responsible for ensuring policy compliance and applicability for all Inter Plan Programs, which involve the coordination of benefits and claims for members who travel or live outside their home plan's service area. I also oversee program technologies, design new processes and structures, and promote value-based programs across the system. In my previous role as a project leader at EmblemHealth, I successfully managed and coordinated the Medicare Advantage Renewal project, a complex and multiyear initiative involving critical systems and business integration. I am passionate about designing and implementing innovative solutions that improve the quality and affordability of healthcare for all. I work with internal and external partners to align policies and programs with the changing needs and expectations of the market and the customers. I am always looking for new ways to leverage my policy and process improvement skills to create value and enhance performance.
