About Felix Carter

I am an upcoming senior at the University of Iowa, majoring in Finance. Over the past three years, I have consistently earned Dean’s List honors and have been actively involved in campus organizations such as the Financial Management Association, HawkTrade, and Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. These experiences have fueled my strong interest in the financial industry and have helped me develop both technical and leadership skills. This summer, I joined Metropolitan Capital Bank as an intern with the Private Capital Management team. I am currently working on the underwriting and analysis of commercial credit opportunities, including term loans and lines of credit. My responsibilities include evaluating borrower financials, conducting market and industry research, and gaining hands-on experience with compliance documentation and covenant tracking. Through this internship, I am strengthening my skills in credit analysis, loan underwriting, and financial communication in a client-focused environment. Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, where I studied International Business and the Italian language. This experience gave me practical insight into global financial markets while also allowing me to develop cross-cultural communication skills and expand my understanding of international finance. In addition to my academic pursuits, I previously worked at LaGrange Country Club as a Cart Attendant and Honor Caddie the past 7 summers— these roles have strengthened my communication, time management, and customer service skills. In my free time, I enjoy running, snowboarding, playing golf and basketball, card games, and spending time with friends and family.
