About Felix Manzi

Felix Manzi is a dedicated professional with a focus on international Investment Law. During his time as General Counsel at Aldango Gold Refinery LLC, Felix took on the responsibility of overseeing various legal matters, striving to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing the gold and silver processing industry. His role involved managing contract negotiation and drafting, as well as offering strategic legal guidance to the executive team. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Felix had the opportunity to contribute to academia as an Adjunct Law Lecturer at both the University of Kigali and Université Libre de Kigali. There, he had the privilege of teaching a range of law courses, including Private Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Labour Law, and Constitutional Law. He also had the honor of working as a Field Research Consultant for the Harvard Kennedy School, Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. In the realm of international legal affairs, Felix had the humbling experience of serving as a Rapporteur for the 6th Forum of the African Union Commission on International Law in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. He also had the privilege of being part of the Hansen Leadership Institute at the University of San Diego in different capacities, first as a Fellow and later worked as an Associate Coordinator and Selection Committee member. This experience provided him with valuable insights into leadership and international cooperation. Felix holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law with a specialization in International Investment Law from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from the University of Kigali and a post-graduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development. During his time at Fletcher, Felix had the opportunity to contribute as a Research Assistant to Professor Patrick Schena, assisting in the evaluation of national sovereign funds, including the Agaciro Development Fund, for the 2019 Self-Assessment. Proficient in English, Kiswahili, Kinyarwanda, and other East African dialects, Felix also has a working knowledge of Spanish.
