About Felix Petermann

I joined the Max Delbrück Center in June 2019 as the institute’s first multimedia editor. In this role, I lead the creation and distribution of multimedia content across our website and social media platforms. My current focus is on LinkedIn, which became our primary social network in early 2025. I also manage our Bluesky and YouTube channels and support efforts on Instagram and Facebook. Before transitioning to the public (research) sector, I worked at 1. FC Union Berlin, a professional Bundesliga club. As part of “AFTV,” the club’s multimedia storytelling unit, I produced engaging photo and video content for Union’s digital platforms, including aftv-online.de, fc-union-berlin.de, YouTube, and social media. I hold an M.A. in Communication from Stanford University (2017), where I was part of an accelerated, future-focused program emphasizing data journalism and multimedia storytelling. Prior to that, I earned a B.S. in Public Relations (major) and Communication Studies (minor) from San Jose State University (2016), graduating summa cum laude with department honors – while also competing as a Division I student-athlete on the SJSU Spartans men's soccer team.
