About Felix Poschadel

After attending the epic 2015 League of Legends Worlds finals in Berlin (SKT vs KOO Tigers), I decided that one day I would like to play my part in evolving this awesome new competition called eSports. While still serving in the German Army, I took my passion to the next level and enrolled for a degree in eSports-Management in 2019. For me eSports is the phenomenon of the 21st century. Sadly, many European politicians see this differently. This is why an academic basis is needed to lead a well-founded political discussion. While there is still a long way to go, I believe the pioneer work of the eSports students will greatly contribute to the overall development of the business. In eight years in the German Army, three of which in officers’ training and the following five years as a ranking officer, former superiors have acknowledged that I have acquired important skills such as leadership, structured working, quick decision making and adaptability based on analytical thinking and discipline. I developed and improved these skills in my position as a platoon leader (where I was responsible for managing up to 50 recruits) and as personnel officer in the HR department of the 10th Panzerdivision soldiers). My tasks included- leading, developing and managing teams of up to 50 persons- development and implementation of large-scale personnel development concepts- planning and realization of public events of special interest for the division’s commander- planning and realization of events and seminars for international military VIPs as well as visits from politicians- quality management of work products of subordinate units- handling of complaints and petitions- identification and valuation of data- implementation of concepts and organization of workshops promoting gender equality- support in the planning and implementation of multinational exercises. In my spare time I enjoy gaming (ofc), weight training and playing golf. Now the time is right for a new chapter in my life. I am currently working on organizing a meetup for all the eSports students at my university, as well as coaching one of our LoL Primeleague teams. I am looking forward to putting my knowledge to the test and challenging myself again every day.
