About Felix Schmidt

I am a technical development scientist at F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG. I have a doctoral degree in biochemistry from the University of Tübingen, where I conducted research on combinatorial pesticide effects on liver proteins in HepaRG cells. My core competencies include analytical (bio-)chemistry, high-performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and proteomics. As a technical development scientist, I am providing scientific and technical leadership for projects and analytical tasks within the 'Hyphenated & Special Technologies (HST)' section, primarily focusing on impurity profiling and structure elucidation of synthetic peptides via chromatography and mass spectrometry. We identify and quantify complex molecules using advanced LC-HRMS techniques, continuously developing highly specific methods with top-tier equipment and software. I am motivated by the challenge and opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge to support the development of novel and effective therapies. I value teamwork, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
