About Nin Femi Barker-El

My name is Femi. I'm an Atlanta native and a recent graduate of Georgia State University having attained my Bachelor's in Film and Media Production. I also attended The Georgia Film Academy achieving a Certification for "On-Set Production". My focus lies within the Camera Department working in positions such as Camera Operator, 1st and 2nd Assistant Camera, and Digital Utility. I have been working in the camera department for 2 years assisting directors and producers with capturing their visions. I started with my own short films entering them into film festivals and sharing them with family and friends on YouTube. In my spare time, I would teach myself about camera technology studying as many brands as I could from small DSLR cameras to cinema cameras. Through The Georgia Film Academy, I was able to work as a camera operator on different productions working with cinema cameras such as the Canon C300 MK As of now, I have created my own production service investing in my own camera and lighting equipment in which I currently use to offer freelance videography and photography for all occasions and special events. My end goal is to become a Director of Photography also known as a Cinematographer. I highly look forward to making a meaningful contribution to a wonderful team. My overall vision is to become a very well-rounded and knowledgeable individual within the Film industry who understands the beauty of production and works with like-minded creatives and colleagues that prioritize team work and unity.
