About Ferdinand Leeger

Hello there! Welcome to my LinkedIn profile. I am a Dutch and European Patent Attorney dedicated to driving innovation and modernizing the field of intellectual property (IP). A little about my background: I began my career as a reactor technologist in industrial R&D, specifically in the food industry. Alongside this, I have also gained valuable experience as an external counsel in this sector. Over the years, I have successfully transitioned into an IP consultant, serving diverse industries both domestically and internationally. Through this journey, I have developed extensive expertise in drafting patents across a wide range of technical domains and managing patent prosecution worldwide. While I greatly enjoy the creative aspects of my job, I have noticed that administrative tasks often overshadow them. To address this, I am actively involved in automating the non-creative aspects of my work, particularly through AI-based automation initiatives. I take pride in being an honors graduate from Eindhoven University of Technology, which has equipped me with not only a strong understanding of universal principles but also a solid grasp of specific technical fields. I am known for being a straightforward individual who speaks their mind, regardless of the language on the menu.
