About Ferenc Sarus

With over a decade of experience in the river cruise industry, I am a passionate and dedicated professional who strives to provide the best service and safety standards for our guests and crew. As a Nautical Instructor at Viking, I am responsible for the training and development of our nautical department, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge to operate our vessels efficiently and effectively across Europe. In my previous roles, I have gained valuable experience in various levels of nautical operations, from sailor to captain, as well as in passenger port management as a harbor master. I have also acquired multiple certifications, such as Expert for passenger shipping, Captain's license "A" on inland waterways, and Radar observer. Additionally, I have contributed to the successful implementation and training of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 at Viking, demonstrating my commitment to quality, safety, and environmental management. I enjoy sharing my passion and expertise with my colleagues and supporting their career advancement.
