Fergus is a company owner and board chairperson with leadership experience across the healthcare and financial services sectors. He is currently proprietor of Marymount Care Centre, a purpose-built, person-centred campus providing high-quality care across long-term residential, convalescence, respite, specialist dementia, and independent living services.He also serves as Chairperson of Céile Care, a nationwide network of 40 family-owned and operated nursing homes. Céile Care focuses on strengthening sustainability, governance, and operational capability across the sector through shared services, best practice, innovation, and peer-to-peer learning. The network places a strong emphasis on values-led care, robust governance, and regulatory compliance, while actively promoting greater integration within the wider healthcare system. This includes working collaboratively with stakeholders across Ireland’s older-person care system—policymakers, clinical professionals in both public and private settings, academia, and the regulator—to develop effective and sustainable approaches to community-based care.Previously, Fergus was European Head of Human Resources with Brown Brothers Harriman, where he led HR strategy and service delivery across the region. He has deep experience in organisational development, talent and succession planning, large-scale change programmes, workforce planning, and budget management within complex, highly regulated environments.A Chartered Director, Fergus has a strong track record in governance, people leadership, and organisational performance, underpinned by a collaborative and values-driven approach.Outside of work, Fergus is actively involved in community and voluntary leadership. This includes former Chairperson roles with professional bodies and Dunboyne GAA, as well as ongoing involvement in charitable fundraising initiatives.
