About Fermin Catalan

Fermin is a Professional Engineer with 28 years of experience over Project Engineering, Product/Program Management, Product design and quality assurance/quality management (Wind Power industry and Automotive industry). He is a Master Bachelor of Science graduate in Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra and Expert on Business Management by the EDAE. After working as Onshore Wind Technology Director in South Europe & Africa, he was assigned as Program Head in SGRE and last year he moved to the Technology Modularity directorate, recently created. Previously (2014-2017) he was Chief Engineer of the new 8MW Adwen Offshore Project, after playing the same role in Gamesa for the 8MW platform. He completed the development of the 5MW Offshore platform and spent a expat 2 years time in the USA for specific teaming with local companies and leading the Offshore Wind Technology Center in Virginia (USA). His core competencies include Project Management, Product/Program Management, Business Development, Engineering Team Management, Automotive industry Management (Engineering, Processes and Quality), Manufacturing Layout engineering, Wind Turbine Generator Product Management, Design, Quality Assurance Methodologies, Change management and Production Delivery.
