About Fernando Comas

As a Junior Trader at Louis Dreyfus Company, I am part of a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods. I have a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Commodity Trading from the Université de Genève and an MBA in International Management from ICEX-CECO. I am passionate about commodities and international trade, and I am motivated to learn from the best in the industry. I have lived and worked in six different countries (Spain, England, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico and Switzerland) and speak three languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese), which gives me diverse perspectives and experiences to contribute to the team. In my current role, I apply the knowledge and skills I acquired during my comprehensive training program as a Coffee Trading Graduate, which covered different aspects of the coffee business, such as marketing, research, certified coffee, and a 6-month assignment in Brazil and Colombia. I have gained valuable insights into the global coffee market and its dynamics, as well as developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Previously, I worked as a Commercial Excellence Analyst at Deoleo, the world leader in sales of bottled olive oil, where I provided useful analytics to different divisions, such as key accounts analysis, market insights and business intelligence monitoring, and management of strategic projects and plans. I also have experience as an International Trade and Investment Advisor at the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Brazil, where I conducted market research and reports on the infrastructure and energy industries, and identified commercial partners and investment opportunities.
