Hi, I am Fernando and it is great to meet you! In an increasingly globalized world, dealing with people, products, brands, and institutions from around the globe has become essential. Immigration and internationalization are part of the modern world, creating challenges such as language barriers, cultural differences, and conflicting laws. Therefore, adapting content and documents for different audiences is crucial, as is helping individuals and businesses find new horizons, whether in search of peace or new markets. As a product of interlinguistic and intercultural relationships and experiences, I strive to bring the world closer to everyone. I am a native bilingual Portuguese and Spanish speaker and I have dedicated most of my life to learning new languages so that I could connect with as many people and places as possible. I have also gathered academic knowledge and life experiences to ensure not only grammatical accuracy but also the adaptability required in a globalized world. I am currently working as a paralegal at Santos Khoury, LLC, an Immigration Law firm based in the United States. In my role, I have directly worked in asylum applications, among others, in the hope of helping vulnerable individuals, while listening to their stories and giving them the voice they need before various institutions, agencies, and courts. Humanitarian and International law is my vocation, but languages are my passion, and I always aim to learn more and more. Communication is not simply saying something but mainly knowing how to say it. I am always willing to listen, understand, and study in addition to keeping myself as updated as possible through courses and classes. Dedication, responsibility, and organization are essential to my work, where I use the most of my mind and soul to achieve the best results I can. I am a communicative person and, most importantly, I believe that words may change the world, using their strength to do so while respecting humanity, diversity, and plurality.
