About Fernando Garayo

For over 12 years I've been working with Quality and Environment Managenment with a strong passion for creating positive impact. Although it was never the intention, I've became a professor, a consultant (eventually) and radio columnist about environment. It motivates me to build bridges and common interests. I am an enthusiast and studious of ESG practices. I also love the financial market and have been an investor for about 8 years. I make a point of a few hours of my week to study about investments. In my professional trajectory in the sanitation area, I was able to be part of a company with intense expansion, where my responsabilites went from one concessionaire to 94 today. Also, as I worked with many excellent professionais, gave me the pleasure of winning some awards such as:"Sustainability Award" from the Brazilian Association of Private Concessionaires of Public Water and Sewage Services, being 4 times winner in the Management and Institutional categories and the "Ecology and Environmentalism" award from the Campo Grande City Council. I get to have continuous self-knowledge and improve my leadership and negotiation skills. Stimulates me being part of the construction of the foundations of a new this new thing that is called "stakeholder capitalism". Re-editing a phrase from the genius Milton Friedman: “The sole purpose of a company is to generate profit for shareholders and pursue the social license to operate”.
