About Fernando Hern Munoz
I am an alumni of CU Boulder where I received my BA in biology and Spanish and I am now finishing my MPH in epidemiology. I am motivated to tackle the challenges that public health is facing and will continue to face. Additionally, I am eager to contribute to the improvement of health disparities. As a clinic assistant and a volunteer Spanish interpreter I have seen the needs of a small fraction of the population, but I believe that many of the needs can be met and addressed. During my MPH I have been able to learn about the various fields that epidemiology can be applied to. My coursework and experience has led my interests towards psychiatric epidemiology and global health as well as one health epidemiology. However, with my background in molecular biology I am also interested in molecular epidemiology and cancer epidemiology. Nevertheless my interests are broad and I am satisfied if I am contributing, if even marginally, towards a healthier future.
