About Fernando Jimenez

Began working as a Cyber Security Technician in May 2015, dealing with COMSEC programs while honing my training and auditing skills at the 2nd largest Air Force COMSEC account in Omaha Nebraska, regularly training up to 300 users yearly on rules, regulations and conducting inspections. I also practiced my emergency management skills by mitigating asset losses during the 2019 Mississippi River Flooding and setting up an alternate site for the 1st Airborne Command and Control Squadron. I was promoted to supervisory position in November 2019 and appointed ISSM for Kunsan Air Force Base, South Korea, safeguarding 2 networks and directing the base COMPUSEC Program managing 3.1K users. While there, I was able to bring the network security posture in line with DISA standards and received Authorizations to Operate (ATO's) for both networks, the only base to achieve that goal in the Pacific Air Forces Major Command.
