About Fernando Luna

As a graphic designer with over 20 years experience, I've gained a thorough understanding of color, composition, balance, rhythm, emphasis, space, shape, and value. I have focused my efforts in the furniture import field, and currently manage the graphics department at the corporate headquarters of Studio Designs, Inc, an arts and crafts furniture company located in Commerce, California. Studio Designs' sub-brands include Studio Designs Home, Paws & Purrs pet furniture, and Sew Ready tables for the sewing market. We also acquired Artograph in 2019, adding artist tools like projectors and lightpads to our furniture line. We are also in a partnership with UK based, small kitchen appliance maker, Haden, who we have helped significantly in growing their presence in the U.S. market. My responsibilities include: Create full color labels and line-art drawings for packaging, technical vector illustrations for assembly manuals, supervise furniture photo shoots, design sell sheets, brochures, ads, posters, banners, price booklets, five different catalogs, research and develop new furniture designs and ideas based on popular trends, functionality, aesthetics, and sellability, all while staying within budgetary constraints. Clients we've worked with include Dick Blick Art Supply, Michael's Art Stores, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Amazon, Office Depot, Target, and Staples.
