About Fernando Mills

A seasoned storyteller with a wide range of experience in both the art and business of making innovative content. I began my career as a freelance producer, director, and writer for critically acclaimed and culturally iconic shows such as Survivor and The Amazing Race. Work on the creative front lines led to the entrepreneurial venture, Brand New Entertainment, where I ushered original content from inception to screen. As an executive at production companies (Reveille and 51 Minds) I oversaw the creative for pitch reels, pilots, and series for broadcast, cable, and digital outlets, including branded content. As the Vice President of Production and Programming for VH1 and MTV, I built creative teams from the ground up and oversaw all aspects of current series, including the Emmy-nominated Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party (VH1), the long-running hit, Basketball Wives (VH1), and the international format, How Far is Tattoo Far?(MTV). With experience in every facet of the business, I am a creative showrunner who values collaborating with diverse teams to deliver premium content from inception to final delivery.
