About Fernando Perez

Award winning writer/producer and founder of independent production company Entity Eye Entertainment. There, my partner Suzy Stein and I develop shorts, features, and graphic novels – primarily in the sci-fi/adventure/fantasy space – and collaborate with directors and cinematographers and artists to produce our projects. I’ve been a movie buff my whole life, but growing up, I didn’t know anyone who actually worked in the business and didn’t think it was an option for me. After hearing a prolific screenwriter speak about his craft at a film screening, I was inspired to give writing a try. My first feature, THE MARK OF KINGS, was selected as a finalist for the Disney Features Writing Fellowship and optioned by the studio. I’ve since adapted the script into a graphic novel and reworked the feature to resubmit to contests - it was recently optioned by the Your Script Produced! Studios. Through Entity Eye, I’ve developed and produced several other projects that have placed in dozens of screenplay competitions and festivals across the US, and internationally and our latest film AT THE END OF THE WORLD was selected as a finalist by the Oscar-qualifying Manhattan Short Film Festival. In addition to my work in entertainment, I have a background in fraud investigation and a Bachelors in International Affairs and a Masters in Cyber Security Administration. I’m passionate about exploring the ways in which technology is changing our world and affecting our political landscape, and I believe my academic understanding of cybercrime and digital warfare will help me tell more impactful stories in this space.
