Shoe designs can identify a Brand. Develop a great shoe with trendy design that performs well in wear, using the latest materials and color combinations, which at the same time is comfortable requires experience, expertise, skills and eye to detail with passion for the product. All the work involved in all processes from design to development and later into production, keeping in mind the production processes, cannot be disregard. All this can identify the person who developed such Shoes. Coming from factory background, in Portugal, I have experience in all production procedures in the different manufacturing departments. Development of new materials, components, tools and samples finishes, in collaboration with different suppliers, is a complement of my experience in footwear. Combining the experience in shoe making with studies on footwear design & development at professional school in Portugal (CFPIC), opened my eyes and gave me a clearer vision of what is footwear design & development all about and made my mind to what I wanted to do as professional career, with creativity and commitment. I've acquired my experience during 30 years, working in different companies and brands with their own designs, concepts and constructions. The route to build my experience has passed through several countries in Europe, Brazil and Asia. I am hands on product development and on time problems solving kind of person. Working with open mind to new design trends and construction concepts, gives me the flexibility to engage on different types of products, going from fashion, formal, casual leather shoes to sneakers and sport performance shoes, as well to work with more technical materials and components. It's has been an amazing journey in the footwear industry. Learned a lot and there's still a lot to learn. And the journey continues.
