I began my career in loan origination in 2003 and have worked for national banks, local lenders and loan brokers. During my time at banks and local direct lenders I was able to help many in the community with financing the purchase of their first home or refinancing their current loan. However, I met with many good people who should have qualified for a home loan, but unfortunately, they did not fit the requirements of that specific bank or local lender. After doing some market research, I realized that by working with a reputable broker instead of working for a bank or direct lender, I could actually help more people and offer better rates because I was not limited to the products of only one bank or local lender. While I enjoyed my time at the bank, becoming a broker was the best thing I could have done.
