About Ferne Hebig

As a City Clerk and Advanced Level 1 certified municipal administrator and member of UMAAS I enjoy working with people and helping them gain a better understanding of their local system of government. I understand the importance and intricacies of good communication and engagement, and am certified in public relations. Graphic design and desktop publishing are two of my passions and I lend those skills to everything I do. I also have a fair hand when it comes to writing which comes in handy as well. Translating meaningful data into language that is easily understood and reporting that is useful is important and something I strive to do effectively. I am a very positive, curious and creative person with a thirst for knowledge, so I take every opportunity I can to learn new things and hone existing skills. I’m also an artisan and in my off-hours I craft and paint to feed my creativity. Achieving a good work-life balance is of utmost importance and essential for quality of life. Self-care comes first, family comes second and everything else comes after. The Golden Rule is one I try to live by, to ‘do unto others as you’d have them do unto you’. I believe each of us ought to try and leave the world a better place for us having been in it.
