About Ferrin Evans

Ferrin Evans is an information professional (Master of Information Fellow, University of Toronto, Archives/Records Management concentration) and law student (BCL/JD, McGill University) with a background in film/media (BFA with great distinction, Concordia University). His diverse interests include immigration law and law librarianship. As a queer Filipino man, he also seeks to use his experience to support and mentor other marginalized students and professionals. Ferrin holds a uniquely cross-discipline skill set. Before law school, he cultivated his libraries/archives experience at University of Toronto Libraries, where his committee work and leadership was regularly noted. Beyond this work, enabled through his selection in the prestigious Toronto Academic Libraries Internship (TALint) program, he was a member of the Association of Moving Image Archivists' inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship Program (now Pathways) and has held multiple short-term archiving contracts. Ferrin also holds years of experience within film and media, from Board-level work to logistical/operational planning to festival programming. Notably, he was on the Board of Directors at the MIX New York Queer Experimental Film Festival, and he has been programming at Inside Out Toronto for six years.
