About Fieke Kroon

After studying French in Amsterdam and Paris, I was a French teacher during 14 years. In the meantime I also co-operated in writing a French method ('Franconville') for College-pupils, and I was the creator of the 'Taalldorp'-assessment for College pupils. I was CKV teacher (Culture and Arts) for three years and team manager for 7 years. At the same time I was parttime secretary at the Astronomical Institute of the University of Amsterdam and studied at the Reinwardt Academy to become a professional in museum Education. I managed to graduate cum laude in 2005 and became Educator at Teylers Museum, the oldest museum of the Netherlands. From September 2009 till March 2011 I was interim head of Public Affairs. Between January 2007 and January 2015 I was president of the Works Council. In 2016 I created the picture book 'Beer is los', together with Aureen Harthoorn (who made the beautiful drawings). In 2021 I (privately) composed and publiced the diary of my great aunt, which she wrote during the Second World War:'Het hongerwinterdagboek van Sophie Niemantsverdriet'.
