About Filip Heinel

When I was younger I began earning a keep by buying and selling products of Tradera / Blocket and doing paid garden work. I got my first real job at 17 working for McDonald's. Later, while still working at McDonald's I joined up with the start up and future successful company, Bright Swimwear. There I got a foot into the E-commerce business doing everything from recruitment and training to order logistics, sales and support. Later I decided to leave McDonald's and the restaurant business since I didn't find it appealing. I came to work at Teknikmagasinet as a retail salesperson and had by this time worked up to the position of COO at Bright Swimwear. Since I was 17 I've managed to constantly juggle two different jobs, while getting good grades in school and being an active member of Ungdomsluftvärnet, which is the Swedish version of military cadets/JROTC. After being drafted, while still working my two jobs and keeping up with other activities, I managed to get into one of the most challenging paths possible as a draftee at one of Sweden´s finest military installations and regiments. After my obligatory military service was over I continued working at Teknikmagasinet and then took on the role as Store Associate at Arboristbutiken where I got the opportunity to utilize all things I've learned from E-commerce and retail in the past as well as an amazing opportunity to learn more about the profession of arborists and their tools of the trade. My next step was one that had been on my mind a long time, learning programming. After a while of self learning programing I decided to join the team at Muntra as a Customer Success Manager with the goal to during that time transition into a developer role while in my spare time planning and executing my learning plan. Now after reaching that goal I'm looking for new challenges, opportunities to grow and improve so I can be able to use what I've learned this far to create awesome tech that can help benefit people.
