About Filip Naiser

Filip Naiser is a researcher freelancer with a focus on Computer Vision and Machine learning. His career started early in grammar school when he participated in The EiMSARobot project, where he developed algorithms for object detection in video sequences. After this experience, Filip started own project called Eye-Controlled Cursor (software for controlling computer using only eyes) for which he won a Gold medal in competition (Houston 2010), award Česká hlavička (2010) and Silver medal in Intel ISEF (2011 Los Angeles). After finishing high school, he started a long-lasting research internship in the Center for Machine Perception (CMP) in Prague under the supervision of prof. Jiří Matas where he continued on Ultra-fast tracking based on zero-shift points. Then he worked on tracking of multiple interacting animals in laboratory conditions. This was also a topic for his Master's thesis, which ended his studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague with a specialization in Computer Vision and Image Processing. After graduating in February 2017, Filip spent one year as a CV & ML freelancer working on image post-processing for 3Doid.com 3D V360 Ltd. Apart from that, he created numerous analyses on topics like stock price prediction, material defect detection or customers statistics (e.g. footfall, gender and age distribution) for shopping centres. In 2018, Filip started to work 80% of the time for NXP Semiconductors as a CV & ML researcher. In February 2019, he started PhD at Jiří Matas' group at CTU in Prague, focusing on Object Detection and Tracking under occlusion. In October 2019, he co-founded iC Systems AI, acting as Head of Research and Development.
