About Filippo Lupi

Driving excellence in youth sport through innovation, management, and human capital development. Sports Manager with a background in Sports Science and a specialization in Sport Management. Currently serving as Academy Project Director at Empoli FC, after professional experiences with Udinese Calcio and AC Milan, as well as several roles within the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) in youth and school sectors. Throughout my career, I have covered multiple roles across the football ecosystem: athletic trainer, UEFA B coach, team manager, academy director, general manager, and lecturer. This broad experience has allowed me to understand sport from every perspective – technical, organizational, managerial, and academic. My work and research focus on innovation and organizational processes in youth sport, with an interdisciplinary approach that integrates human resources, management, and sports science. I have published internationally (icSPORTS 2022) and written about generative management, emphasizing the value of human capital interactions for the development of sports organizations. Alongside my academic activity, I serve as Project Manager at the sports-tech start-up GoSport, leading projects on digital transformation in sport. I have also founded sports clubs and organizations based on innovative management models. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, I have had the opportunity to work in international contexts. I believe sport is a laboratory of innovation, where the growth of young athletes goes hand in hand with the development of organizations.
