About Filippo Polvani

My work experience began at the age of 15 with an apprenticeship as a sales clerk at Fracht SA in Agno, a global shipping company. At the same time, I attended the Professional Commercial School (CPC) in Massagno with a high school diploma. During the 3 years of high school, I discovered my passion for the financial market and its mechanisms. Once I got my high school diploma, I decided to look for a job at a Swiss bank and to start college to attend a degree program in Banking and Finance. I manage to start my bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Parallel Profile to Professional Activities (PAP), but I find a position in an insurance company as a claims handler. A few months later I am laid off for reasons related to a change in company strategy and am forced to apply for unemployment. During my 4 months of unemployment, I decided to take online courses to learn more and more about how to invest in the stock market, so much so that I started my own trading and portfolio study. Meanwhile, I devoted time and energy to opening various e-commerce sites. To earn some extra money, a friend of mine and I turned to buying and selling limited-edition shoes, an activity that in a year allowed us to put some money in our pockets. One day in April 2020, after a successful interview, I was hired by Credinvest Bank and had the chance to realize my dream of starting a career in finance. My first job was within the Backoffice division, which allowed me to build a solid foundation on the banking world. After two years on the payroll, thanks to my ambition and achievements, I was promoted to the Institutional Client Division as a Junior Relationship Manager. Taking care of relationships with people has always been my strong point! Moreover, in January 2022, a friend of mine and I registered the company at commercial registry, thus going on to found FactoryLaces SAGL. The company is in the business of reselling limited edition shoes, clothing and accessories. In September 2023, I decide to move to London as I receive a job offer as Business Development Vice President at IBP Markets. The aim is to improve my knowledge of finance, plus having big responsibilities I am sure it will be a great challenge!
