About Fiona Bradley

I help people to use and create information, and advocate so that everyone can do the same. My experience has included strategic roles with global impact on the library and information profession, national influence, and lasting outcomes for library organisations and individuals. I also have a strong interest and background in research, and am currently undertaking a PhD in international relations focused on transnational advocacy networks and their role in freedom of access to information in relation to privacy, platformisation, and digital sovereignty. My work has spanned: Academic library leadership and service delivery, with a focus on research, interoperable open systems, and client-centred physical and digital services Policy and advocacy in areas including research evaluation, copyright, open data and open access, and a significant focus on the UN 2030 Agenda (Sustainable Development Goals) Extensive focus on building the capacity of the library profession, working closely with associations, and individual leaders Strategic planning, programme design, delivery, and evaluation. Expertise in monitoring and evaluation, library assessment, and impact Development of partnerships across sectors Major grant planning and implementation Research and analysis of major global and sectoral issues and application to institutional environment I have developed, implemented and evaluated programmes, grants, events and initiatives that benefit libraries in all regions of the world working with colleagues in more than 80 countries.
