About Fiona Cullen

I work part-time as a Handwork/Art and Outdoor Learning Teacher at the Cardiff Steiner School. I am a mixed-media artist/craftswoman inspired by the natural world. I have a BA Hons in 3D Design (Wood, Metal, Ceramics, Plastics) and PGCE in Art and Design from Brighton University. I am experienced in working with a wide range of groups in the community and nurturing the creativity of groups and individuals, of all ages and abilities. I have led visual arts and artisan craft workshops in a range of contexts and have skills in a broad range of techniques. This includes leading groups using ceramics, mosaic, wet felt, needle felt, textile arts, spinning and weaving, dyeing, recycled materials, printmaking, jewellery making, paper making, hand made cards and journals, wire and tissue sculpture, living willow, basketry and more. I have exhibited as a ceramic and jewellery artist and have undertaken ceramic, mosaic and public art commissions.
