A singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and world class performer. Fiona this taught music management & singing in private practice, corporate & classroom settings. Additional to this, Fiona is a 'wellness activist' perpetually developing her nutritional awareness due to her own food sensitivities/allergies since childhood. Fiona includes functional wellness practices in her life including meditation and daily exercise. She became a living organ donor on 27 July 2023, donating a kidney to her husband who had suffered sudden kidney failure from Goodpasture syndrome in January 2021. Fiona Lee Maynard has a reputation for being a highly engaging, entertaining & energetic live performer. Accused of being "part Janis Joplin & part Ethel Merman" by LA Weekly in 1996, she can embody a 'Rock & roll Showgirl' persona, however, she developed a more personal and softer style during visits to her Mother's Aged Care facility playing folkie singer-songwriter style songs during hospice care. Which lead to her recording an all acoustic album in 2023, due for release in January 2024. Drawing on decades of industry experience, musical practice & self-development Fiona can instruct in: guitar, electric bass, singing & music theory, music therapy, how to write your own song, composition techniques, how to get your own band together, band identity & brand development, stagecraft, acting techniques, character development, how to improve delivery when public speaking or presenting in a corporate setting, and how to pass the medical scrutiny to become a living kidney donor, should one want to do that. Fiona can provide strategies for practice & through your own achievements you will develop your confidence & skills. Fiona has many years teaching experience, working with children in groups providing music, drama & dance instruction for children from 6 months – 6 years. Providing Private Tuition for children from 5 years old - adults Fiona can train a performer from aspiring beginner to professional level and a Cert 4 VET qualification.
