Currently working in a Senior Analyst role in the Cybersecurity department in Dell Technologies. Since joining Dell Technologies I have also been part of a Software Engineering Team based in Limerick. Responsibilities included- Writing code and testing as I Progress (Language PL/SQL)- Submitting and engaging in Code Reviews from Developers of all levels - Attend daily stand ups/ scrum calls and follow the 'What I did','What I plan to do' & 'Blockers' format - Helping the BSA's/Testers on the team with deploying scripts that help generate test data with every release to date, as the Testers do not have access to deploy the scripts themselves- Before development of a story begins, we engage in a 3 Amigos meeting, that ensures that all team members involved in the story are on the same level and get to ask any questions/clarifications- Agile way of working: Engage in Sprint Planning's & Retrospective every 2 weeks- For every release technical documentation is done for any components with changes as well as a deployment document for Releases- Since April 2020 I am actively involved in a support team for a tool that the whole Project uses as part of code deployment, and am currently the only EMEA Representative of this team. This involves helping people promote code if there is an issue with the tool, and also helps with versioning and approvals During my time in Deloitte Ireland, I was primarily working in a junior developer/tester role for web applications that have been developed for the client. Key responsibilities include- Ensure the area currently being developed is thoroughly tested and all bugs are quickly identified and reported- Write test cases using Test Manager and executed them when development work is complete in that test area - Work under Agile Methodologies - Working as a junior developer, working on tasks with little intervention and guidance - Working with software versioning tools, such as Git, on a daily basis - Check code in for code reviews by creating a Pull Request, requiring other developers on the team to review my code to ensure it is of a high standard - Reviewing other team members’ code to ensure high quality - Use SQL to retrieve and manipulate data for testing purposes Technologies/languages used.NET, C#, Git, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Microsoft Test Manager Courses: Business analysis Practice (BAP) Foundation level ISTQB (Software Testing) Foundation Level
