About Fiona Sum

Be brave, have courage and dream on." is my motto in life. Hello! I'm Fiona and I am all about living my life to the fullest. My academic path hasn't been all smooth after graduating with a diploma. I didn't want to follow the normal regular path as what a graduate will do, entering a university. Thus, I decided to go for the unconventional way, taking a one year gap from school, doing what I like. After working as an Early Childhood Educator for six months, I got an offer from a Digipen Institute, doing a Degree in Computer Science and Game Design. I rejected that offer and went on to a new job, as a Supply Chain Auditor. For someone that has a liking in organising, I had a lot of fun auditing products. Thereafter, I re-applied to Digipen and I was selected for the degree again. I went back to school to finish up my studies. 3 months later, I realised that it's not what I want to do in life. Thankfully I have understanding family members that gave me unwavering support whenever I try to live my life differently as others. I jumped on board as an Associate Engineer because I always have an interest in fumbling with codes. I also adore the feeling of achievement when I managed to solve an error and make the program work.Through it, I discovered my passion for Cyber Security. At this current moment that I'm typing this description, I am finally a graduate in Computer Science, specialising in Digital System Security. After 4 years of trying out jobs that I think I like, to finally settling down at my passion.Outside of work, I'll be most likely playing with my dog, baking and dancing.
