About Fiona Tobin
My job title is lecturer, but I don't think that quite covers it! I see my role as part of a dedicated team in the Hotel, Culinary and Tourism Department at Munster Technological University, supporting and helping our students to achieve their learning and professional goals. I work with students on our degree and honours degree programmes and I also supervise at level 9. As well as teaching, I am responsible for our Work Placement Programme, for Event Management students. I love this role as I passionately believe that work experience in a mentored environment is a critical component of our students' learning and of immense benefit to them as they begin their career in their chosen sector. We are always looking for industry partners who wish to offer interesting and challenging work placement experiences to our students.
