About Fiona Wait

With 13 years in the civil engineering and construction industry, I bring a range of communications skills gained by working on major infrastructure projects in WA and in the business development space. My expertise includes marketing, submissions, public relations, event management, graphic design, and stakeholder engagement activities. Recipient of a Judges Commendation in the Social Responsibility category of the 2017 National Association of Women in Construction Awards, in relation to community relations and stakeholder management on Main Roads WA's NorthLink WA Southern Section (NLWASS) project. Key highlights on NLWASS include coordinating the installation of noise/screen walls on property boundaries along the 8km highway alignment; working closely with local schools on legacy projects; and being a member of the Sustainability Committee which shaped the Project’s Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia ‘Leading’ rating of 93 for design, and 95.2 for as-built – the highest IS Rating score to date by an infrastructure project across Australia and New Zealand. Other project experience includes managing stakeholder and community relations on the Wanneroo Road Widening, Murdoch Drive Connection and Armadale Road Upgrade projects with the Metropolitan Road Improvement Alliance for Main Roads WA.
