About Fiorella Atoche

Licensed lawyer in Peru since 2014, I earned my bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Lima in 2010, graduating fourth in a class of 105 (top 3.8%) with a GPA of 4 and Cum Laude honors for my J.D. dissertation in 2011. I began my legal career at Muñiz Law, Peru’s largest law firm, advancing to junior associate in the Finance and Capital Markets practice, where I worked for over three years. For the next decade, I specialized in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) at Rebaza, Alcázar & De las Casas, a top-tier M&A firm in Peru and Latin America. As a partner, I led cross-border transactions across industries such as banking and finance, pharmaceuticals, energy, and retail, navigating both civil and common law jurisdictions. My expertise includes conducting risk-based due diligence and negotiating share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, investment agreements, and complex transaction structures. Additionally, I led the Real Estate division, negotiating land purchase agreements, financial guarantees, banking finance agreements, and construction contracts. Currently, I am pursuing an LL.M in International Business Law at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario, and working toward my NCA Certificate of Qualification to practice law in Canada. I am honored to have received the Award of Merit at York University, recognizing my academic and professional achievements
