About Flavia Proverbio

I am a goal-oriented and ambitious person; I love my job and I am passionate about the design of buildings because architecture always influences the quality of people's everyday lives and how they relate themselves. Maybe sometimes I am a dreamer, but I am enthusiastic thinking about me as part of a multidisciplinary team working in so-called “total architecture” design process. As an engineer, I deal with structure: I am a structural engineer and results-oriented problem solver with a strong background. My personal experience and education both in the architectural and engineering fields makes me an engineer with a wider perspective and the ability to approach design problems under different points of view. Currently, I hold the position of structural engineer and team coordinator at Mecanismo Ingeniería in Madrid. I deal with structural design and calculation of national and international, different scale, projects (single-family house, industrial ships, Expo Pavilion Dubai 2020, Magnifica Fabbrica La Scala Milano, etc). I am specialized in wood/timber structures and I have experience in singular structure projects. I have a developed team spirit and I manage and coordinate one of the three teams at Mecanismo Ingeniería; our team deals above all with singular structures, rehabilitation projects and interventions on National Heritage.
