About Flavio S.

My professional and academic background are driven by a will to help others and simplify processes. Since my first job, as an insurance operator (Mapfre), I have tackled complex situations, providing the best possible outcome to the involved parties. A few months later, I began working as Administrative Assistant in a mixed capital company (Codasp), monitoring field operations expenses, reducing costs through improved office supply management, having also worked with the AP/Treasury Team. After completing a Master's Degree, I had a brief experience as a Host at an international restaurant franchise (Jamie Oliver's), which contributed to hone my in-person client support invaluably. My last work experience before immigrating was at an esteemed educational institution (IFSP), part with the HR Team (keeping public servers informed of rights and duties, and managing funcional records), part with Acquisitions & Public Biddings Team, supporting contract management.I hold a Bachelor's and a Licentiate Degree in Geography. Having graduated with honors in 2007 — certified by the Regional Council of Engineering, Architecture and Agronomy of Sao Paulo (Crea/SP). Throughout my graduation years (Unicamp) I've engaged in public events fairs and collaborated organizing debates (with scholarships and voluntarily). I was founding member/associate for a collective studies laboratory focused on the mutual intricacies between natural systems and human settlement/activities (Leclig), also a founding member of the Institute's first junior enterprise (TERRÆ Jr). My Master's Degree concentrated on episodes of extreme heat and the different understandings that local governments, the media and the townsfolk have of such events as points of friction to build actual resilience. I've moved to Canada in 2019 (presently pursuing Citizenship status). I've completed an Associate Degree in Environmental Studies (Douglas College), having received an International Education Award of Distinction and a Step Up Project Award (granted by the R. Howard Webster Foundation). I am currently working with Accord Financial's Funding team, helping North American businesses boost their portfolio.Given this outlook of my experiences, it has clearly been imperative being able to multitask, efficiently using different mediums, database systems, office applications, interpersonal cooperation, social media monitoring, always securing highly sensitive information and being on top of the deadlines. Therefore, I am sure of my trustworthiness as a highly adaptable professional.
