As a Sanctions Compliance Team Lead at Wise, I oversee complex investigations for sanctions breaches and implement new sanctions regulations in processes. I have 4 years of experience in financial compliance, with in-depth knowledge of sanctions policies, regulations, and reporting procedures as per jurisdiction, KYC, AML & and SAR. I have contributed to automation ideas, and maintenance of the screening tool along with handling projects right from conception to completion. I possess leadership skills and currently managing a team of Sanctions Analysts. In my current role, I've developed, trained, and conducted QA for our in-house and outsourced teams in Singapore and India. Before joining Wise, I had a successful career in fashion retail in India, where I handled sales and operations for several brands. I was responsible for meeting sales budgets and goals, business growth, smooth operations at all retail outlets, talent management, visual merchandising, and customer service. I have a Master's degree in International Business Administration and speak English, Hindi, and Estonian fluently. I am passionate about learning new skills and solving challenging problems. I enjoy working with diverse and talented teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering high-quality results. My goal is to leverage my skills and experience in the Financial Compliance sector.
