Mental Health 🟪 Lecturing 🟩 Writer 🟥 Guest Speaking 🟧 Media 🟦 Branding 🟨 Marketing I am a dedicated mental health advocate and certified Mental Health First Aider with 15+ years guest speaking, lecturing and delivering personal experience to charities, Universities and various organisations including MIND, Mental Health First Aid England, Coventry University, University of Birmingham and Leicester DeMontford. I have written for a number of magazines and charities including Marie Claire, Those London Chicks, Newlife Outlook, Rethink mental illness and BEAT (national eating disorder charity of whom I am an Ambassador). As part of my advocacy I have made media appearances on Channel 5 and BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire, of whom I was a regular mental health contact resource and been featured in magazines 'Love It' and 'Woman's Own' as a Role Model. As part of my University work I support lecturers in interviewing prospective students for mental health nursing degree courses and I am also on a patient care voice panel to ensure quality delivery and efficient processes. I have always been involved in voluntary work and volunteer as a listener for the Samaritans. My current passion is the recent launch of the blog an inspiring, interesting and creative online space advocating for mental health and talking openly about mental illness. As Founder, I have taken the role of web designer, social media manager, content creator, feature and contributory writer, interviewer, editor and I'm loving it! I want to create a platform for other people to share their voices and creative work. My background career is in Branding, Marketing, Marketing Communications, Design and Sales, working for international and national brands including BMW MINI, Somerfield, Asda, Kenwood aswell as local organisations and charities.
