I am currently completing the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Surrey, under Surrey & Borders NHS Foundation Trust, from September 2025-2028. I pioneered the successful Children & Young People’s Mental Health Practitioner pilot project role. The successful outcomes of the pilot led to its permanent funding within the Richmond borough, and rollout to the Kingston borough. Working as a CAMHS clinician (under SWLSTG) within GP practices, I offered support through advice, signposting and check-in sessions to children & young people and parents/carers within a primary care setting. Crucially, the role meets the aim of increasing access to children’s mental health support.
