About Florence Blyth

After taking a natural break from work to travel and explore Canada with my partner during Summer 2023, I was successfully recruited to the role of Project Officer (Additional Needs & Alternative Provision) at The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in December 2023. I feel privileged to be a part of this organisation, helping and working to improve the access of the award to young people with additional needs and alternative provision, through grant funding support and resource development. Prior to this, I was a part of the Help to Grow: Management project team at UWE Bristol, working as a Project Officer. I helped to coordinate the Help to Grow: Management course for SME's in the South West. Key responsibilities of mine included managing the marketing of the course in the South West region as well as managing the financial claims for the project. It was a great team to be a part of which came with exciting opportunities. I have previous experience in customer service, accounts receivables and administration roles, where I have developed excellent communication and organisational skills, allowing me to build strong relationships with both customers and employees. I am adaptable, have great time management and am capable of working under pressure. I work well on my own or within a team and enjoy taking on new challenges.
