Florence Freeman is a seasoned, results-driven, solution-oriented business-minded executive with over 25 years leadership experience in the business, Education, Real estate investment, and the nonprofit sector. Now retired from association management, she volunteers with Score, a nonprofit organization that helps business owners succeed, she serves as a certified business mentor. In addition, she volunteers as a business management instructor at the University of the People, a first of its kind tuition free online, accredited university in the US, serving more than students from more than 200 countries worldwide. She is a successful entrepreneur who built a multimillion-dollar business from the ground up which was acquired in 2019 by one of the fastest growing early childhood companies in the US. Her love for education and personal improvement has earned her the title of “Mentor” to many colleagues, employees, friends and family. Her nonprofit experience spans more than 20 years in medical specialty organizations such as The Endocrine Society, American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, the American Urological Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. She has served on executive leadership teams as a key decision-maker, influencing policies and improving operations in the various positions she has held. She is considered a technical expert in membership development and constituent engagement. Her global mindset, intellect, high emotional IQ, and authenticity enables her to connect with diverse groups of people. She is authentic, sincere, and deeply committed to sharing knowledge with others and helping associations, students, business owners, and colleagues succeed. Florence has lived, studied, and worked in three continents (Africa, Europe, North America) and her diverse experiences have enriched her capabilities and perspectives enabling her to adapt to her environments and emerge as a leader.
