About Florence Lees

Florence is an accomplished researcher with project management experience within the CRO environment. She is driven by problem-solving and passionate about establishing and maintaining connections with people. Her therapeutic background covers healthy volunteers and patient groups. She is experienced in ethics submission and communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Her research experience includes utilising novel technology to help effectively measure pain in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Migraines. She has completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science, majoring in Genetics, Immunology and Microbiology, followed by an honours research degree in neuroinflammation. She has recently completed a PhD in Medical science. During her PhD, Florence was involved in project management and maintenance of collaborations from both Adelaide and interstate. She has presented to large cohorts from both scientific and non-scientific backgrounds including the 3-minute thesis. She has presented her research and won the best pitch award as well as being a finalist for the 2019 PhD award for the 2019 Australian and New Zealand Orthopedics Research (ANZORs) national conference. She is experienced in analysing large cohorts of data and delivering concise reports.
