About Florent Herbinger
My main research covers machine learning applied to building energy. I develop advanced techniques to better predict the outputs of physics-based building energy models, created in EnergyPlus among others. With accurate building energy predictions, we help ensure that retrofits and other decarbonizing strategies result in expected carbon emission reductions. Other work includes building energy model calibration, urban building energy modelling, and electricity profile disagregation.
