About Florian Brucker

During my time at Security KAG I was given the opportunity to develop a state of the art best estimate model for life insurance from scratch. Since then, SecProfitPlus has been assessed by several auditors and authorities and received the rating 'second to none'. It is still in use in about 20 insurance companies for the purpose of Solvency II and IFRS 17. Complexity and size of the project soon called for a small data science (DS) team, a proper DS infrastructure, as well as a DS training concept which was later rolled out to all actuaries of the GRAWE Group. Additional project followed e.g-) Libor Market Model -) Model for Asset Ratings -) Expected claims for MTPL per risk using GAM -) Data Warehouse -) PRIIPs -) PEPP -) IFRS 17 -) Best Estimates for Nonlife -) Best Estimates for Reinsurance -) Model for Risk Margins -) Internal CSM tool to validate SAP FPSL and the team grew steadily until in 2022 GRAWE took account of these developments by founding a new department 'Finance and Insurance Mathematics' which consisted of 14 employees. Now, in 2023, my curiosity, my passion for actuarial topics and data science, my enthusiasm for modern leadership, and my love for providing mentorship are looking for a new professional symbiosis, a new win-win situation.
