About Florian Kiesl

I am an experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the industrial automation industry and software for tax consultants. Over the years I additionally gained skills in various programming languages, database-systems and data-modeling, requirements engineering, project management and public speaking. In summary, I am a strong engineering professional with a Master's degree in business informatics(focus software engineering) from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. What fascinates me most about software engineering is the mix between the algorithmic challenge, thoroughness, software design and meeting the software quality requirements. In this context my usual approach is by looking at the problem first before talking about implementation details. Furthermore I am preferring to design and develop software iteratively while getting constant feedback. Eventually, the software and of course I should continuously improve. Apart from software engineering I am currently very much into swimming. I am also an enthusiastic cycler, who enjoys commuting to work. I also joined a capoeira club and go regularly to trainings. Furthermore I am very interested in cooking, especially now I am searching for vegetarian dishes in order to reduce my meat consumption. Lastly I try to find some time to learn Russian, reading books and learn other programming languages on Coursera.
