About Florian Kitterer

I lead Microsoft’s Generative AI practice, guiding enterprise customers from initial GenAI concepts to full-scale, production-ready AI platforms on Azure. My work spans LLMOps strategy, reference-architecture design, responsible-AI governance, and hands-on enablement. With 5 + years in data science, business intelligence, and cloud architecture, I help organisations shorten time-to-value by: Shaping vision – translating business opportunities into GenAI use-cases and North-Star metrics. Engineering platforms – building secure, scalable foundations for GPT-class models, vector search, and real-time monitoring. Operationalising models – instituting CI/CD for prompts, fine-tunes, and RLHF pipelines, plus telemetry for cost, quality, and compliance. Upskilling teams – delivering workshops and code-along sessions on Azure OpenAI, prompt engineering, and advanced ML workloads. I hold a Master’s in Business Informatics and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Hochschule Aalen, along with Harvard Business School’s certificate in Disruptive Strategy. Outside project work I mentor early-career professionals, speak at international conferences, and have earned podium finishes at events such as the European BEST Engineering Competition.
