About Florian Lecorps
I'm currently acting as Director of the Marine Renewable Energy Department at Biotope, with a strong focus on birds, marine mammals, bats expertise, digital aerial surveys and other remote monitoring techniques (acoustics, radar, cameras). Biotope MRE Department is a > 20 people strong team, with additional support from 30 more Biotope employees and numerous partners and subcontractors. As an environmental consultant, I've worked for almost 20 years on several fields of expertise : nature reserve and Natura sites conservation plans, renewable energy (onshore and offshore wind, solar plants, marine renewable energy), transport infrastuctures. I've specialized in wind energy and have worked on more than 100 wind energy projects over the last 15 years (both onshore and offshore wind). Deeply interested by wind energy and biodiversity issues, I'm involved on several think tanks and working groups dealing with that field of expertise. Since October 2023, I'm chairing the organizing committee of the next Conference on Wind energy and Wildlife impacts (CWW2025, September 2025 Montpellier).
