About Florian M. E. Huber

Being born in Munich, I was raised in Garching and later in Finning in Bavaria. In 2004 I started my study in chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. During my undergraduate studies I had research experience with Prof. Dr. T. Carell, Prof. Dr. T. Bein, Prof. Dr. T. M. Klapötke and Prof. Dr. Schmedt auf der Günne. After the completion of my diploma thesis under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dirk Trauner in 2010, I joined his laboratories as a Ph.D. student. Having finished my doctoral studies, I joined Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg (Germany) where I am currently working on the synthesis of bioactive and therapeutically relevant molecules and bioconjugates thereof. My research interests lie in the fields of sythetic organic chemistry, biochemistry and medicinal chemistry. I like to work on complex structured molecules and to investigate their biological relevance. Devising new agents and bioactive molecules is the main aim of my current synthetic studies. I am also strongly interessted in the industrial synthesis of chemicals and treatment of generated intellectual property by patent law.
